OPERATIONAL TIMES & TERMS
   Big Bear Farms is a real working farm not a grocery store, therefore we are not open 24/7. During the year , between seasonal crops, there are times that we have no crops available.Cry These include times such as after the first winter freeze and during the Dog Days of Summer due to the heat. There are also times that we would normally be open but have been called away for emergency business.

     Normal days are: Mondays - Saturdays - 9:00am till 6:00pm.
                   

*All sales are by cash or check only. We do not accept credit or debit cards.
**  Foods are parishable so make sure it is what you want before you leave the farm. Due to present Federal bio-terrorism laws and food safety regulations ALL SALES ARE FINAL. 

LOCAL RETAIL SALES

Local retail customers are always welcome at Big Bear Farms.

Prices are based on the then current wholesale price index for USDA fresh ORGANIC fruits and vegetables, thus resulting in savings of 40-60% off normal retail chain stores.

BLUEBERRIES are available during the April-May harvest for customer pick up at the farm. they are sold by the clamshell 4.4 oz. cup, the flat - 12 clamshells or the pound in tie bags.

VEGETABLES are available for customer pick up at the farm. Some vegetables preharvested and cooled while others are harvested only after your arrival. It only takes a minute and this is the only way that we can guarantee freshness. YOU  KNOW IT'S FRESH WHEN YOU SEE IT ON THE BUSH. They are sold by the pound and either bagged or boxed.

ELDERBERRIES are available in starting in the Spring and are frozen, bagged and sold by the pound.

- take I-4 East to Exit # 14 (Mcintoch Rd.)
- turn North (Lt) on Mcintoch Rd. & go 0.2 miles.
- turn East (Rt) on Gore Rd. & go 0.4 miles.
- turn North (Lt) on Gallagher Rd & go 2.7 miles.
- you will pass by Thonotassa Rd. & Kinard Cove. 
- turn East (Rt) on Kinard Rd. & go 0.25 miles.
- Farm is on the LEFT, follow signs to office.

 U-PICK

VEGETABLES-Due to the destruction of our Organic crops by a few U-Pickers we have been forced to close our vegetable fields to all U-Pickers. If you wish to join us in the fields as we pick your crops and assist us then you are more then welcome. You would be suprised as to how much damage a few lazy pickers can do in a bean or corn field.

BLUEBERRIES- Fields will be open to supervised U-Pickers starting on th first days of harvest. Get on our Customer Notification List or call for dates and times. We provide picking pails, picking belts, tie freezer bags, Fresh well drinking water and clean restrooms. Pickers should come in the early morning or late afternoon as mid-day can get very hot for children in strollers.

PLEASE NOTE: Big Bear Farms is a drug free, family friendly farm. Familys with supervised children and school groups are welcome. Parents should bring their lunches and cameras. HAVE FUN!!! - Unsupervised children are sold off  Laughing as farm labor at the end of each day.

All BBFI blueberry commercial sales are packaged in flats of 12 -4.4 oz./ 125gm clamshells. Pricing is based on the current wholesale market conditions. Call for prices, order and cooling information. Farm layout accepts 18 wheeler pick-up. Local delivery available.
